About- Allison Sanford COTA/L

Allison graduated from McHenry County College in 2021 with an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant. She also graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2017, where she majored in health science and minored in psychology.

Allison has known she’s wanted to work with people with developmental disabilities or in the mental health field since her first internship with Association for Individual Development in Elgin, IL in college. During fieldwork rotations for her OTA degree, it became quite apparent her heart was in pediatrics. When the opportunity arose to work at Moving On in 2022, she jumped on it, as it seemed like (and continues to be) an amazing experience. 

In her free time, Allison enjoys taking care of her succulents (the only plants she can keep alive), taking nature walks, spending time with

 friends and family, attending concerts whenever she can, and playing cozy video games.
